It's been a busy month! Since the end of February, I have had four sets of friends/family come visit me in Orlando. First off, I had thirteen of my beautiful sorority sister comes visit. They arrived in Boca Raton, staying at a sister's family house.
I decided to visit for the weekend. After three hour nighttime drive in the pouring rain, I finally made it! The next day was spent at Delray Beach.
Later that week, some of the girls decided to spontaneously visit me in Orlando and spend a day at Disney before they had to return to Michigan. Even with the late notice, I was able to pull together three poolside rooms for the girls at a Disney resort. After their arrival, the girls decided to split up, with some heading to Magic Kingdom and others going to Downtown Disney. I ended up tagging along with the crew going to Magic Kingdom.
Just a few days later, I headed to the Orlando International Airport to pick up my baby sister. My coach was nice enough to allow me to take an entire week off of work. It's nice to know that even when it comes to its interns, Disney appreciates the balance of work and personal life.
We spent five full days at the Disney parks, riding every ride and watching every show. This is not an exaggeration.
Two of the unique Disney experiences that we had a chance to have included the Akershus Royal Banquet Hall's Princess Storybook Lunch as well as the Wild Africa Trek.
With one day of overlap, Salina joined Shalina and I for our final day in the parks. It was her first time at Disney, so decided to head back to Magic Kingdom for a magical day!
From there, Salina and I headed up to Daytona Beach for a few days of fun in the sun! Even though I'm not back at school this semester, it was nice to have a "spring break" weekend.
To finish off the month, Dad had a chance to visit as well! Before he got busy with business, we spent one day in the parks together. We decided on Animal Kingdom, since that's the only park he had never been to.
It was a busy, sleepless month with many overlapping trips from visitors. In the end, all that matters is that I was able to spend quality time with some of my favorite people and they had the chance to experience the magic of Disney!
