I grew up in a small, rural town where I was one of the few colored kids. When I left for college, my parents were convinced I’d find community in other South Asian American peers. But instead of better understanding my identity, I began to question it.
At first, I figured that occasionally skipping a couple of weekend workouts was no big deal. Before I knew it, I had picked up a few pounds. I knew that I needed to figure out a way to get those weekend workouts in without fail.
